The special interest group (SIG) on dependability, safety, and security recognizes the critical role of dependable, safe, and secure systems in advancing sustainability initiatives. Our SIG brings together experts from various disciplines to address the intersection of these domains.
Our group's mission is to promote research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange aimed at enhancing the dependability, safety, and security of systems and technologies within the context of sustainability. We aim to explore the challenges and opportunities arising from the integration of sustainability goals with the need for robust and resilient systems across sectors such as energy, transportation, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Through workshops, seminars, and collaborative projects, our SIG facilitates discussions on emerging trends, best practices, and innovative approaches in ensuring the dependability, safety, and security of sustainable systems. Topics of interest include risk assessment, resilience engineering, cybersecurity, safety-critical systems, and human factors engineering, among others.
